Survey: Transparency Law Seen as Threat to Democracy

A survey found that nearly two-thirds of the population believes Hungary would cease to be a democracy if the proposed transparency law were passed. Even among government coalition voters, 17 percent agreed the bill's real aim was to silence government critics.
